How do I get from the airport on St Thomas to St John?
  • You will take a taxi to Red Hook on the east end of St Thomas where ferries depart for St John every hour on the hour. The cost of the ferry is $5 per person plus $2 per bag. We meet you at the dock on St John.

Do I need a car?
  • We advise having a car. While Villa Colorado is close to the town of Cruz Bay and taxi service is available, you will want your own car to explore the island. There are many rental agencies and vehicles from which to choose. We will be glad to make this reservation for you.

Are there ATM machines?
  • Yes, but they are not always in working order.

What clothes should I bring?
  • Casual attire for warm weather and appropriate clothing for whatever activities you plan. Jackets for men are required only for dining at Caneel Bay.

  • Definitely not. St John has many markets and delis offering almost anything you need.
